Abstract

In the cold chain process, the refrigerated or reefer storage is one of important parts for \ntransporting perishable cargo such as fruits, meats, and vegetables. Proper temperature setting \nand operation of refrigeration, and also suit construction of reefer storage are the keys to \nmaintain the quality of perishable commodities . Improper monitoring and control of reefer \nstorage would more cost in inefficient cooling with high energy consumption and low quality \nof produce. Modern monitoring system of reefer storage should provide a reliable and fast data \nhandling of the temperature condition of cargo to the user or cargo owner in order to maintain \nthe quality. Therefore, the current work in the first year research project mainly performs a \ndevelopment of Wi-Fi wireless temperature sensor network, and thermal modelling of reefer \nhorticultural cargo in a cold storage which is investigated through the development of
