Abstract

The adsorption of synthetic dyes mixture i.e. Naphthol AS-G, Remazol Red 5B, and Remazol Yellow FG using activated carbon have been carried out. The effects of contact time, adsorbent dose, dye solution initial concentration, and solution pH were studied to obtain the optimum conditions for decolorization. The adsorption of Naphthol AS-G, Remazol Red 5B, and Remazol Yellow FG using activated carbon was monitored using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The dye decolorization indicated that activated carbon was capable to remove the synthetic dyes mixture from the solution effectively.
