Abstract

Greenhouse gasses produced by both international and domestic shipping as well as the fisheries sector during the last few decades has increased according to a report from International Maritime Organization (IMO). This study estimates the exhaust gas emission and dispersion from ships at the port. The case study is located at the Tanjung Priok port which is one of the largest and busiest ports in Indonesia. The distribution and dispersion of emissions produced by ships in Tanjung Priok port are modeled using the Lagrangian Particle Dispersion Model. The results of this study are expected to be further decision considerations regarding emission control, limiting the amount of emissions and also developing Tanjung Priok port to become a green port.
