Abstract

Drag coefficient of a circular cylinder can be reduced by taking place an I-type passive control in front of a circular cylinder. We obtain a mathematical model of the drag coefficient on a circular cylinder. This is model further is solved Simpson's rule and Gauss-Jordan elimination. We obtain that the smallest drag coefficient is 0.90981 in S/D of 2.14943.
