Abstract

Many phenomena occur due to the flow of the river, some of which are sedimentation and erosion. Sedimentation model was developed mathematically using Finite Volume Method. Sedimentation model that is built consists of two parts, namely the hydrodynamic flow of rivers and river morphology. In the hydrodynamic flow of the river depicted on the variables involved in river flow equation, whereas in river morphology is described about the process of sedimentation that occurs based channel as a result of the flow behavior. The simulations of sinusoidal flow show that the depth of river decrease around � 0.0045, and the derivation of velocity is � 0.02, for the initial velocity v = 0.2. When the initial velocity v = v enlarged to 0.9, the height of the sediment on the downside � 0.0021. Similarly to the confluence of sinusoidal, an increase in the height of the sediment � 0.05, decreased velocity � 0:09, when the initial velocity v = 0.1. When the velocity on the river I enlarged to v1 = 0.2 and on the river II v2 = 0.1, did not significantly influence the height of the sediment. But the magnitude of initial velocity and depth affect the height of the sediment on the riverbed. For confluence, the river velocity I and II river not significantly affect the height of the sediment, but the effect on the speed of the river early.
