Abstract

A confluence of two rivers is a flow that is formed naturally and affects the pollutants and sedimentation disperse. In recent study, Structured Equation Modeling (SEM) shows the correlation and the evaluation between the water quality, hydrodynamics elements, pollutants and sedimentations in a confluence of two rivers, Surabaya and Marmoyo. The estimation using LISREL 8.8 shows that the relations among the variables are positive and the water discharge, a hydrodynamics’ indicator, has the highest coefficient of correlation for pollutants and sedimentations. Meanwhile, for the parameter of water quality the highest coefficient of correlation is TSS (Total Suspended Solid).
